SUMMARY
Sr. Account Manager for pediatric endocrinology/orthopedics/genetics (institutions and office-based). Maintain strong knowledge of disease states and product labeling; educate referring/treating HCPs; coordinate with internal teams and field clinical support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve area sales objectives, market penetration, new patient starts, and quarterly/annual revenue targets.
- Drive demand via clinical selling and education for skeletal conditions, including cold calling as needed.
- Implement and execute an effective business plan; track strategy, tactics, and progress.
- Build and maintain relationships with Pediatric Endocrinology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Genetics, and key referring physicians (including Pediatrics).
- Participate in disease awareness efforts and society meetings (local/state/regional) as assigned.
- Collaborate with Skeletal Dysplasia brand team and functions such as MSLs, Market Access, Compliance, as needed.
- Become an expert in clinical data; communicate significance to stakeholders.
- Provide proactive business insights on assigned accountsโ clinical practices.
- Operate compliantly in a highly regulated environment; remain agile in ambiguity.
SCOPE
- Work some evenings/weekends for educational events (in person/virtual).
- Manage a multi-state territory; overnight travel 40โ60%.
- Use advanced virtual skills to meet HCPs/caregivers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelorโs degree required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years biotech/rare disease specialty sales, technically challenging first-in-class products.
- Office-based selling in complex referral-to-prescriber models in newly created markets.
- Field team model experience with clinical support and reimbursement hub.
- Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Pediatric Orthopedics strongly preferred.
- New product launch (preferably first-in-class) experience.
- Experience working directly with patients/families.
- Committed to long sales cycles to create a medical home.
Territory: Raleigh Territory (North Carolina and South Carolina).
