Specimen Processor

Role: Specimen Processor responsible for biological specimen preparation, verification, data entry, and shipping in a high-throughput diagnostic laboratory setting. Objectives: ensure accurate and timely processing of specimens to support diagnostic testing. Responsibilities: introduce, open, verify, and route specimens; perform data entry and quality checks; handle specimen storage, shipping, and disposal; operate automated instrumentation under supervision; comply with safety policies. Qualifications: high school diploma or GED; proficient computer and typing skills; ability to handle human biological samples; lift up to 30 lbs; able to work independently and in a team; flexible overtime availability. Preferred: 6+ months experience in medical office or hospital specimen processing and high-volume data entry; strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills; ability to work under minimal supervision.
