Role Summary
Specialty/Senior Specialty Representative for Cardiovascular in St. Louis South, MO. Territory includes St. Louis South area, Farmington, and Cape Girardeau. This role is focused on acting as the primary customer contact, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products, and promoting products as directed by the District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
- Lead sales efforts to achieve territory targets by delivering branded messages, implementing planned programs, coordinating medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales goals
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain contracts
- Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities, perform territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Maintain passion for the products throughout the sales cycle and uphold the brand while serving patients
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn to grow as a Senior Specialty Representative
- Apply knowledge of disease states, industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to deliver results
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor's Degree OR
- Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience
- Basic Qualifications Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelorโs degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales related OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales related OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales related
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device industries; product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases
- Local market knowledge and established relationships in the territory
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
