What You Will Do
- Serve as primary customer contact by providing clinical knowledge to medical professionals and helping them navigate the payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Provide current, comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, running planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical education, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Manage and develop accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Build and sustain brand passion across the full sales cycle with patient impact at the forefront.
Basic Qualifications
Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR
- High school diploma/GED + 6 years sales
Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or non-sales healthcare/scientific clinical experience OR
- Associate degree + 6 years sales and/or non-sales healthcare/scientific clinical experience OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales and/or non-sales healthcare/scientific clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales in relevant specialties; local market knowledge; established territory relationships; Life Sciences/Business Administration degree; adaptability with core competencies.
Benefits/Compensation
- Expected salary range: Specialty Rep $89,880–$121,602; Senior Specialty Rep $109,631–$148,325. Total Rewards Plan may include medical/dental/vision, retirement/savings, bonus/incentive, stock incentives, time off, and flexible work.
