Role Summary

Specialty/Senior Specialty Representative to cover cardiovascular products in Madison, WI area, with territory including Madison, La Crosse, Wausau, Marshfield, and Eau Claire. Responsible for promoting Amgen products, delivering clinical knowledge to medical professionals, and achieving territory sales targets under the guidance of the District Manager. This role emphasizes building relationships, ensuring product access, and communicating the clinical and economic benefits of therapies to healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
  • Lead to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, implementing planned programs, coordinating medical educational programs, and meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
  • Analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Maintain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle and support brand growth while serving patients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and learn continually to grow as a Senior Specialty Representative
  • Leverage disease-state knowledge and awareness of industry/regulatory changes to achieve results

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications Specialty Representative:
    • Bachelor's Degree OR
    • Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR
    • High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience
  • Basic Qualifications Senior Specialty Representative:
    • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR
    • Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR
    • High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry; product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases
  • Local market knowledge
  • Established relationships in the territory
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
  • Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships
