Role Summary
Specialty/Senior Specialty Representative for Cardiovascular based in Altoona, PA, covering territory including Johnstown, Altoona, Indiana, State College, Dubois, and surrounding areas. The role focuses on providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and implementing marketing strategies as directed by the District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
- Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, implementing programs, coordinating medical educational activities, and achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Service and manage accounts to ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
- Analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle and uphold the brand while serving patients
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and foster continuous learning
- Leverage disease state awareness and industry/regulatory knowledge to deliver results
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor's Degree OR
- Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience
- Basic Qualifications Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries; product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases
- Local market knowledge
- Established relationships in the territory
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
