Role Summary
Specialty Sales Representative, Eye Care covering remote Philadelphia, PA. Responsible for launching LENZ Therapeutics’ VIZZ product in the ophthalmic presbyopia market, delivering disease state education, and driving ongoing growth of the product portfolio. Build relationships with eye care customers, execute sales plans with ethics and compliance, and adapt to changing business needs.
Responsibilities
- Expert in selling skills and account development including building relationships with targeted physicians (optometrists & ophthalmologists).
- Drive execution by exceeding sales performance goals and key productivity metrics across the territory.
- Use analytical skills to guide productive activity, prioritize key customer engagements, and extend product trial and utilization.
- Understand all functions within ophthalmology/optometry practices and how roles impact prescribing and pull-through.
- Maintain knowledge in eye care clinical information: ocular anatomy, disease state, products, and office treatment patterns.
- Set actionable business plans and align selling activities to drive impact.
- Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance.
- Maximize key resources for territory success.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (district managers, marketing, medical affairs, sales ops, inside sales, training) and adapt to changing environments.
- Share best practices with peers and leadership to elevate performance.
- Ensure PDMA compliance and adhere to all company and industry guidelines.
- Be adaptable to change and respond to market information quickly.
- Demonstrate strong communication and change management skills.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Required: 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales with a proven track record of success.
- Preferred: Proven track record of pharmaceutical launch experience.
- Preferred: Eye Care experience.

Additional Requirements
- This position will be field-based (remote). Candidate must live within the assigned territory.
- Travel within the selling territory and beyond to sales meetings, customer conventions, and to headquarters in San Diego, CA; up to 40–50% travel in some larger territories.
- Reports to the District Manager; travel to corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA as needed.
