Role: District Sales Manager responsible for promoting Amgen's medicines across Amarillo, Midland, Odessa, and Alpine regions, with a focus on serious illnesses in oncology, inflammation, general medicine, and rare diseases. Key responsibilities include leading sales teams, developing strategic customer engagement, managing marketing message implementation, tracking program performance, recruiting and coaching sales staff, ensuring compliance, and fostering relationships with opinion leaders. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with marketing, finance, and other business units.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of sales/marketing experience or equivalent, including at least 2 years of managerial experience. Preferred candidates have 3+ years of specialty sales experience, particularly in biologics, with strong clinical knowledge, market understanding, and the ability to address customer questions effectively.
High-Value specifics: Focus on biologics within oncology, inflammation, or rare diseases; experience in specialty pharmaceuticals; leadership in a field sales environment; familiarity with payor coverage and clinical data; and ability to develop long-term customer relationships.
