Role Summary

Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative - Primary Care - Sacramento, CA. Territory includes Sacramento, CA; Stockton, CA; Reno, NV. Relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
  • Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, coordinating medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative.
  • Demonstrate passion for products and sustain it throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative): Bachelor's Degree; OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience; OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience.
  • Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative): Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field; OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales or clinical experience; OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales or clinical experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1–3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience; product or hospital sales experience across specified therapeutic areas; strong communication and relationship-building skills; curiosity, resilience, and adaptability; entrepreneurial spirit; Life Sciences or Business Administration degree; local market knowledge.
