Role Summary

Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative - Primary Care - Pittsburgh, PA. Responsible for delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals, promoting products, implementing marketing strategy under the guidance of the District Manager, and navigating the payer environment to drive appropriate utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
  • Lead to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and meeting or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain contracts
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop professionally
  • Demonstrate passion for products throughout the sales cycle while reinforcing the brand and patient-focused approach

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative): Bachelor's Degree
  • Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience
  • High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience
  • Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative): Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales-related; OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales-related; OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales-related
  • Preferred: 1β€šΓ„Γ¬3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience (pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred); product or hospital sales experience across multiple therapeutic areas; strong communication and persuasion skills; integrity and accountability; adaptability; local market knowledge
  • This position is open to candidates of various backgrounds and experience levels; role level/title determined by candidate qualifications
