Responsibilities:
- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, running planned programs, and scheduling/following up on medical educational programs through in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage accounts: customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales effectiveness and territory insights; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continue learning/growth.
- Demonstrate passion for products throughout the sales cycle while serving patients and building the brand.
Basic Qualifications:
Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales OR Associate’s degree + 6 years sales OR High school/GED + 8 years sales.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–3 years sales/marketing/clinical experience (pharma/healthcare preferred).
- Product or hospital sales experience in relevant therapeutic areas (esp. cardiology); knowledge of disease/treatments.
- Leadership/pre-grad sales training or demonstrated success under pressure.
- Strong communication/storytelling/persuasion; hunter mindset; resilience; curiosity/learning agility; integrity/accountability; local market knowledge.
