What You Will Do
- Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and help them navigate the payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, running planned programs, and scheduling/following up on medical educational programs (in-person and virtual).
- Manage accounts: customize interactions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales effectiveness and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn.
- Build the brand throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact foremost.
- Uphold science-based, ethical Amgen values and act collaboratively/accountably.
Basic Qualifications
Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s OR Associate’s + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field OR Associate + 6 years OR HS/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years pharma/biotech/medical device product or hospital sales (oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases)
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships; BS Life Sciences/Business Admin; adaptability to core competencies.
