Role Summary

Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative - Bone Health role covering Mesa, Tempe, Central Phoenix. Relocation not offered. The position involves providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and navigating the payer environment, implementing marketing strategy, and promoting products under the guidance of the District Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
  • Lead to achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, coordinating medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow in the role
  • Demonstrate passion for products and sustain it throughout the sales cycle while upholding the brand and patient focus

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative): Bachelor’s Degree; or Associate’s degree with 4 years of sales experience; or High school diploma/GED with 6 years of sales experience
  • Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative): Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of sales experience; or Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience; or High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/diagnostics/healthcare industries; leadership under pressure; 3+ years for Senior; product or hospital sales in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatitis, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases; advanced influencing and relationship-building; local market knowledge; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business; adaptability with core sales competencies
