This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance of South Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tucson, Yuma.
Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and customer needs-solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating in compliance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws/regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations; handle objections and close sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build knowledge of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise; share intelligence to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or 5+ years relevant industry experience (3+ years preferred) and a high school diploma/GED.
- Proven selling success and strong presentation skills; adapts selling approach; offers innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership/support with increased responsibility; influences others; collaborative in matrix environments.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities; may require background/drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and tools; strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to drive personal/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening.
