This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (Gainesville, Daytona Beach, Ocala).
Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and operate in accordance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create SMART pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations; handle objections and consistently close on sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and reach win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, accounts, disease/product/clinical expertise; share intelligence with in-field and brand teams to optimize execution.
- Differentiate value proposition with assigned health providers; identify and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience required.
- Relevant industry experience: at least 5 years required; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven sales success; strong presentation skills; adapts selling approach; offers innovative solutions.
- Ability to influence others; credible peer role model; collaborative and supportive leadership.
- Documented leadership success; understands/leverages findings to develop sales strategies.
- Preferred: success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience; English proficiency.
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access (responsibility for background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses).
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; business acumen and strategic thinking; works in matrix environment.
- Drive personal auto/company vehicle or powered equipment; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
