This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (areas surrounding Broomall, Poconos, Malvern, and to the Delaware Border).
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets; meet/exceed marketing objectives.
- Create SMART pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluations; handle objections/concerns and drive appropriate calls to action to close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics; optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, disease/product knowledge, clinical/sales expertise) to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience. If no bachelor’s: 5+ years relevant experience (3+ years preferred) in pharma/health/science; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven sales success; strong presentation skills; adaptable, innovative selling approach.
- Leadership/support experience; ability to develop sales strategies.
- Preferred: therapeutic-area sales track record; physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing experience; English proficiency.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; critical/strategic thinking; effective in matrix environments.
- Ability to drive (personal/company vehicle or powered equipment); valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment drug screening.
