Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and drive calls to action.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively identifying and addressing customer needs and challenges.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitor and market dynamics, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years of experience (3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred) and a high school diploma/GED.
- Leadership success and solid presentation skills; business acumen, business tools, strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach; operates effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
- Preferred: in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge as an expert resource.
- Preferred: English proficiency (verbal/written for non-English speaking countries).
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for territory facility access (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
