Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations; handle objections and drive to appropriate calls to action.
- Proactively build trusted customer relationships and win-win agreements by serving customer needs and expectations.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, disease/product/clinical expertise) to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or 5+ years relevant industry experience (3+ years preferred) with a high school diploma/GED.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven success in selling with strong presentation skills; effective in a matrix environment.
- Leadership and collaboration experience; proactive adaptability in selling approach.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing.
- Essential: satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities/organizations in assigned territory; must be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
