Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city. Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build customer relationships, and operate in compliance with AbbVie policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives; execute post-call evaluation; handle objections and close on sales calls.
- Build trusted customer relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build understanding of customer needs, market/competitors, accounts/disease, and share intelligence to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; OR equivalent experience.
- If no bachelor’s: 5+ years relevant industry experience, with 3+ years in pharma/health/science; high school diploma/GED.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven sales success; strong presentation skills; effective in matrix environments.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing experience; English proficiency.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
