This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Execute brand strategy and tactics in field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships; solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluation to improve sales performance; handle objections and consistently drive to logical calls to action to close.
- Proactively serve customer needs to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, market/competitors, disease, products, and clinical/sales expertise; share intelligence to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: 5+ years relevant industry experience (3+ years preferred) in pharmaceutical/health/science; high school diploma/GED.
- Leadership success, strong presentation skills, business acumen, strategic/critical thinking; ability to adapt selling approach; works effectively in matrix.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
- Preferred: in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource.
- Preferred: English proficiency (for non-English-speaking countries).
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for entry into assigned facilities; good standing/eligibility.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
