Responsibilities
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; perform post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and gain appropriate call-to-actions to close.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and expectations; drive win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, segments, accounts, disease/product/clinical knowledge) with internal teams to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications / Required
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years’ pharmaceutical/health/science experience (3+ years preferred); high school diploma/GED.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer style/behavior and develop sales strategies.
- Operate effectively in a matrix environment; strong strategic/critical thinking and business acumen.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.

Preferred
- Proven sales performance track record in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing experience.
