Job Description (Field-based)
Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and complying with AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.

- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve; handle objections and drive clear calls to action to close sales.
- Proactively address customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage/frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, disease/product knowledge, etc.) to align stakeholders and optimize brand strategy execution.
- Differentiate the value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience.
- Required: 5+ years relevant industry experience in lieu of degree (3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- Strong scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Preferred: proven sales performance in therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience.
- Essential: satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned facilities (background/drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
