Role Summary
Specialty Representative, Psychiatry - Memphis, TN. Field-based role requiring residence within reasonable distance of the primary city; compensation is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
- Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to improve sales performance; handle objections and close on sales calls.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively addressing customer needs and challenges to achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to optimize coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease areas, products, and sales insights with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate AbbVieβs value proposition with health providers and develop disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or equivalent.
- Proven track record of success in selling and strong presentation skills.
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource by stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to adapt selling approach to customer style/behavior; operates effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: Proven sales success within therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English proficiency.
- Valid driverβs license with ability to meet safe driving requirements.
- HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities and organizations within the territory; in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
