This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations; handle objections to close each sales call.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively addressing customer needs and expectations.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build knowledge of customer needs, market/competitors, accounts, disease state, and product/clinical/sales expertise; share insights with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; develop and maintain disease state experts/speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or 5+ years relevant industry experience (3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred) with high school diploma/GED.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic and critical thinking.
- Proven sales success and strong presentation skills; able to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, peer influence, and collaborative partnering.
- Preferred: success in therapeutic-area sales; experience with physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency (for non-English-speaking countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
