Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in field sales; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives; conduct post-call evaluation to improve performance; handle objections and close each sales call with appropriate actions.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively addressing customer needs and expectations; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, and disease/product/clinical/sales expertise; share insights to optimize brand strategy execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of degree: at least 5 years industry experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven sales success; strong presentation skills; effective in a matrix environment; ability to influence and lead/coach.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial pharma experience (e.g., physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, marketing); English proficiency.
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access; responsible for meeting requirements.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
