This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and customer-needs solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and operating within company code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws/regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and conduct post-call evaluation to improve sales performance; handle objections/concerns and gain appropriate calls to action to close.
- Proactively serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to meet call metrics; optimize coverage and frequency for key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease, and clinical/sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate the value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years industry experience (3+ years preferred) and a high school diploma/GED.
- Leadership success, presentation skills, strong business acumen, strategic/critical thinking.
- Adaptable selling approach; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales performance success in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing; in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; recognized expert.
- Preferred: English proficiency verbally and in writing (non-English speaking countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization, fingerprinting).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
