Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while complying with business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluation; handle objections and gain logical, reasonable calls to action to close.
- Proactively serve customer needs/expectations/challenges; build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans; optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease, and product/clinical/sales expertise; share insights to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent experience required.
- Alternatively: 5+ years relevant industry experience (3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred) + high school diploma/GED.
- Strong ability to adapt selling approach; operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Preferred: proven therapeutic-area sales success; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing experience.
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving requirements.
