Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet/exceed goals.
- Create pre-call plan objectives; execute post-call evaluation to improve performance; handle objections and consistently drive calls to action to close.
- Serve customer needs/expectations/challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan meeting call metrics; optimize coverage and frequency to key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease, and product/clinical/sales expertise; share intelligence to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years industry experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic and critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer style/behavior and develop sales strategies; innovative ideas.
- Experience operating effectively in a matrix environment; proactive change impact.
- Preferred: proven therapeutic-area sales performance; physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare or marketing preferred; English proficiency verbally and in writing.
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting).
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
