Role Summary
Field-based Specialty Representative, Migraine for Northern Colorado. Responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics in the field, managing the assigned territory and targeted accounts, building strong customer relationships, and solving customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while operating within the company code of conduct and applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed planned goals.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance; effectively handle objections and close on calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, product knowledge, and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field and brand teams to align and optimize strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of industry experience with three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry; high school diploma/GED required
- Proven track record of leadership and solid presentation skills; strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities
- Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approach; operates effectively in a matrix environment
- Preferred: Proven track record of sales performance within respective therapeutic areas
- Preferred: Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing
- Preferred: Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource
- Preferred: English language proficiency verbally and in writing
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to travel adequately to cover territory, including overnight travel
- Driving a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or use of a powered piece of material handling equipment
- Essential HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; you must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials
- HCIR credentialing requirements may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting and licenses; you are responsible for satisfying all HCIR requirements

Education
