This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans, execute post-call evaluations, handle objections, and close sales calls.
- Serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, and disease/product/clinical expertise; share market intelligence to optimize brand strategy execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers; identify and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s: at least 5 years relevant industry experience; 3+ years within pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer behavior; use insights to develop sales strategies.
- Effective in a matrix environment; strategic/critical thinking and business acumen.
- Recognized expert with in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; leads by example.
- Preferred: proven sales track record in relevant therapeutic areas; experience with physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing; English proficiency (as applicable).
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
