This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.

Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs-solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating within AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation; handle objections and drive logical calls to action to close sales.
- Serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) to optimize brand strategy execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers; identify and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business preferred; equivalent industry experience required. If no degree: 5+ years relevant experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Adaptable selling approach; proven selling and presentation skills; effective in a matrix environment.
- Influences others; collaborative leadership; peer coaching.
- Preferred: sales success in therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience; English proficiency (for non-English speaking countries).
- Essential: satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities in assigned territory; be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
