Role Summary

Specialty Representative, Migraine - Fall River, MA. Field-based role; location within reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed defined objectives.
  • Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and gain calls to action to close on every sales call.
  • Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, and market dynamics; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align and optimize strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify and maintain disease state experts and speakers to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • Equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five (5) years total; three (3)+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required
  • Proven leadership, strong presentation skills, business acumen, and proficient use of business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach; operates effectively in a matrix environment
  • Preferred: proven sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas
  • Preferred: experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing
  • Preferred: in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource
  • Preferred: English proficiency (verbal and written)
  • Driving a personal auto/company car or truck or other compliant equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet safe driving requirements
  • Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory
