Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and drive appropriate call-to-actions to close.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, accounts, disease/product/clinical & sales expertise) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate the value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years relevant experience (3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and use of business tools; strategic/critical thinking.
- Proven selling success and solid presentation skills; effective in matrix environments.
- Preferred: sales performance track record in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial pharmaceutical experience (e.g., physician/account-based selling, managed care, marketing); English proficiency.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for entry to assigned facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses); must be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements; drive personal auto or company vehicle/equipment.
