Role Summary
Specialty Representative, Migraine - Chesterfield/Columbia, MO. Field-based role focused on executing brand strategy and tactics to drive sales performance, manage territory and accounts, and build strong customer relationships with patient-centric focus. Role requires working within AbbVie’s code of conduct and applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed established goals.
- Create pre-call objectives and post-call evaluations; handle objections and guide calls to action to close sales opportunities.
- Serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win outcomes with customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency for key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously learn about customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, and share intelligence with in-field and brand teams to optimize strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and develop disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience; high school diploma/GED required with at least five years of relevant experience, including three or more years in pharma/health/science preferred.
- Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approaches to customer style and develop sales strategies; contributes innovative ideas to address challenges.
- Operates effectively in a matrix environment; credible, collaborative, and able to lead by example.
- Preferred: proven sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
- Driving a personal auto or company car; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.

Education
