Purpose
Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build customer relationships, and maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and complying with AbbVie policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and close each sales call.
- Serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) to align strategy and execution.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; otherwise relevant equivalent industry experience required (5+ years; 3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred); high school diploma/GED.
- Leadership success; strong presentation skills; business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach; works effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing experience.
- Preferred: in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; expert resource.
- Preferred: English proficiency (for non-English speaking countries).
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; good standing/eligibility.
- Valid driverโ€™s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
