Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create SMART pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluation; handle objections to drive logical, reasonable calls to action and close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute territory call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, segments, accounts, disease, product/clinical/sales expertise) to align strategy and anticipate changes.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify/develop disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field) or equivalent.
- Proven success in selling and strong presentation skills.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource.
- Strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking; proficient use of business tools.
- Ability to adapt selling approach; effectively operate in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: Sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial pharmaceutical experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing); English proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license; pass drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
- Ability to travel and attend training/sales meetings.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses).
