Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and identify customer needs.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create SMART pre-call plans; perform post-call evaluation; handle objections and close every sales call.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage/frequency.
- Build/communicate market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, accounts, disease/product/clinical expertise) to align strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers; identify and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (health/sciences/pharmacy/business) preferred; or equivalent experience required (≥5 years; ≥3 years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred). High school/GED required.
- Proven selling success and strong presentation skills; ability to develop sales strategies.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and critical/strategic thinking; effective in matrix environments.
- Collaborative influence/leadership; demonstrated success with increased responsibility.
- Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license; pass drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
- Ability to travel and attend overnight training/sales meetings.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access.
