Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, managing assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create SMART pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluation to improve performance; handle objections and secure logical calls to action to close sales.
- Develop and execute call plans meeting call metrics; optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory/market landscape, competitors, accounts, disease, and product/clinical/sales expertise; share market intelligence to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: at least 5 years of experience; 3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Demonstrated success in selling with strong presentation skills; ability to develop sales strategies using findings.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic/critical thinking; effective in matrix environments.
- Leadership/support success with increased responsibility.
- Preferred: Sales performance success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, managed health care, training, or marketing experience; English proficiency (as applicable).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass drug screening and meet safe-driving requirements.
- Ability to travel; drive personal or company vehicle or powered equipment.
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements for territory facilities (background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, state/city licenses).
