Role Summary

Specialty Representative, HCV - Minneapolis, MN. Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, drive sales performance, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short and long term sales while placing the patient at the center of AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. to meet or exceed goals.
  • Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and secure actions to close on sales calls.
  • Proactively serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy.
  • D‚Äãifferentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • Equivalent industry experience: at least five years with three or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required
  • Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach; operates effectively in a matrix environment
  • Proven track record of success in selling with solid presentation skills; offers innovative ideas to maximize opportunities
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic and critical thinking; able to influence and build collaborations
  • Essential HCIR credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory (background checks, drug screens, immunizations, etc.)
  • Preferred: proven sales success within therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency
  • Must maintain HCIR credentials and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them
