Role Summary

Specialty Representative, HCV in Harrisburg, PA. Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and solve customer needs to maximize short and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of all efforts while complying with AbbVie’s policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set goals.
  • Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and finalize calls to action to close on sales calls.
  • Serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and reach win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, disease states, product, clinical and sales insights with in-field and brand teams to align and optimize strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience; high school diploma/GED required (with at least five years of relevant industry experience if no bachelor's).
  • Three+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred.
  • Proven selling track record with strong presentation skills; able to develop innovative approaches to maximize opportunities.
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; proficient use of business tools; ability to operate in a matrix environment.
  • Influences others and is seen as a credible role model; demonstrates leadership and collaboration with district and matrix teams.
  • Experience in leadership or increased responsibility at district/region/organization levels preferred.
  • Preferred: experience in sales within therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing; English language proficiency.
  • Must meet HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities/organizations in the territory and maintain credentials; ability to obtain and maintain relevant licenses and clearances.

Education

  • HCIR credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities within the assigned territory; maintain good standing or eligibility for credentials.
  • Possess or be able to obtain necessary licenses and clearances; comply with background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, and other state/city requirements as applicable.
