Role Summary
Specialty Representative operating in the Tampa, Florida region (including Lakeland, Brandon and New Tampa). Field-based role focused on executing brand strategy, achieving sales performance, and building strong customer relationships to place the patient at the center of AbbVie’s efforts. Role requires adherence to AbbVie’s code of conduct and all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set objectives.
- Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and concerns to close on sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements with customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that meets metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease areas, products, and share intelligence with in-field and brand teams to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiates AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree, biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent.
- Required: Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills.
- Required: Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by stakeholders.
- Required: Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Required: Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approach; operates effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas; pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account based selling, training, managed care or marketing.
- Preferred: English language proficiency verbally and in writing.
- Required: Satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities in the assigned territory; in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials.
- Required: HCIR credentialing may include background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, and licenses as required by state/cities; sole responsibility to meet all requirements.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
- Health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing compliance and ongoing eligibility for access to facilities and organizations within the territory.
- Travel expectations and specific credentialing may require ongoing processes; responsible for maintaining required credentials.
