Field-based role. Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships; solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance; operate in accordance with AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Use SMART objectives for pre-call planning; conduct post-call evaluation; handle objections and consistently drive logical calls to action to close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease, product/clinical/sales expertise; share intelligence with in-field team/brand team/sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate the value proposition with assigned providers; identify/develop/maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; OR equivalent experience (5+ years; 3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred); high school diploma/GED.
- Proven success in selling; solid presentation skills; ability to develop sales strategies.
- Demonstrated scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and use of business tools.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
- Ability to travel to cover territory and attend training/events/meetings.
- Preferred: success in sales within therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience; English proficiency (for non-English countries).
- HCIR credentialing: satisfy and maintain all applicable requirements to access facilities in assigned territory.
