Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and customer needs solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct and all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives; execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve; handle objections and consistently gain logical calls to action to close sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs/expectations/challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency for key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease, products, and clinical/sales expertise; share intelligence to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required (5+ years with 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required).
- Proven success in selling; strong presentation skills; adapts selling approach; innovative problem-solving.
- Influences others; collaborative, credible role model; leadership/support experience.
- Preferred: success in therapeutic-area sales; physician/account-based selling/training/managed care/marketing; English proficiency.
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses).
- Strong scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; business acumen; strategic/critical thinking; matrix effectiveness.
- Ability to drive personal or company vehicle/equipment; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening.
