Role Summary

Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, and build strong customer relationships. Place the patient at the center of efforts and operate within AbbVieโ€šร„รดs code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Create a pre-call plan using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and close on sales calls.
  • Proactively serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, and share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to optimize brand strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVieโ€šร„รดs value proposition to health providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Required: This role is field-based and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.
  • Required: Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills.
  • Required: Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by relevant stakeholders.
  • Required: Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Required: Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approaches; operates effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Preferred: Proven track record of success in sales within respective therapeutic areas; experience in pharmaceutical sales, physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
  • Preferred: English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
  • Required: HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
  • Required: Satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements (background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, licenses, etc.) and ensure compliance with related liabilities.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, biological sciences, pharmacy, business related field, or equivalent.
