This field-based role requires candidates to live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (territory covers areas surrounding Cheboygan, Petoskey, Traverse City, Gaylord, Kalamazoo). Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships; solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while following AbbVie policies and all applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Use SMART pre-call planning and post-call evaluation to improve performance; handle objections and close sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Understand customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease/product expertise; share intelligence with internal teams.
- Differentiate the value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelorβs in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience (5+ years; 3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven sales success and presentation skills; adapts selling approach; innovative ideas.
- Credible leader; collaborative; supports peer coaching.
- Leadership experience with increased responsibility; develops sales strategies.
- Preferred: success in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial pharma experience (e.g., physician/account-based selling, managed health care, marketing); English proficiency.
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements (background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, state/city licenses); valid driverβs license; pass pre-employment drug screen; drive personal/company vehicle or equipment.
