Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy/tactics in the field to deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create SMART pre-call plans; perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve. Handle objections and close sales calls.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively addressing customer needs/challenges; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Gather and share market intelligence (customers, competitors, market dynamics, disease/product knowledge) to align brand strategy execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; develop/maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience required.
- Experience: 5+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science (3+ years preferred) and high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven sales success; strong presentation skills; adapt selling approach to customer behaviors; propose innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated influence/leadership in matrix environments; collaborative peer coaching.
- Preferred: therapeutic-area sales performance; physician/account-based selling/training/managed care/marketing experience.
- HCIR credentialing required to gain/maintain facility entry (background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization, fingerprinting, licenses as needed); must be in good standing/eligible.
- Strong scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; business acumen and tools; strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to drive personal/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment; valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment drug screening.
