This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Geography includes areas surrounding: Nashville; Clarksville; Bowling Green, KY.

Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives; execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve; handle objections and close on sales calls.
- Serve customer needs and build trusted relationships; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise) to align strategy and optimize execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years pharma/health/science experience preferred; 3+ years preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven success in selling and strong presentation skills; adapts selling approach; provides innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership/support in increasing responsibility roles.
- Preferred: sales performance success in relevant therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling/training/managed health care/marketing.
- Essential: satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements; remain in good standing.
- Driving requirement: personal or company vehicle/equipment use; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
