This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (Memphis, TN and Arkansas: Little Rock, Russellville, Hot Springs, Searcy).
Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, drive sales performance, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, solve customer needs, maximize short- and long-term sales performance, and operate in accordance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws/regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives; conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance.
- Handle objections and consistently gain appropriate calls to action to close sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs to build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans meeting call metrics and optimizing coverage/frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, segments, disease/product/clinical & sales expertise).
- Differentiate value proposition; identify and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/health/science experience (3+ years preferred) and high school diploma/GED required (if no bachelor’s).
- Proven sales success and presentation skills; adapts selling approach; offers innovative solutions.
- Influences others; credible role model; collaborative partnership in matrix environments.
- Documented leadership/support for increased responsibility; develops sales strategies.
- Preferred: success in therapeutic-area sales; physician/account-based selling and managed health care/training/marketing experience.
- HCIR credentialing required to enter facilities in assigned territory.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and tools.
- Driving personal/company vehicle or powered equipment; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
