This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (geography covers: Memphis, TN and Arkansas: Little Rock, Russellville, Hot Springs, Searcy).
Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and patient-centered customer needs solving capability; operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives; execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve; handle objections and close sales calls.
- Serve customer needs/expectations/challenges; build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Build understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise; share intelligence to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify and develop disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience required.
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years relevant industry experience with 3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven sales success and strong presentation skills; adapts selling approach; offers innovative solutions.
- Ability to influence others; credible role model; collaborative partnership; peer coaching.
- Documented success in leadership/support roles with increased responsibility.
- Preferred: therapeutic area sales success; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience; English proficiency (verbal/written for non-English countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and use of business tools; strategic/critical thinking; matrix effectiveness.
- Ability to drive (personal auto/company vehicle/equipment) and hold a valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening.
