Role Summary
The Clinical Specialist is responsible for calling on practicing physicians, hospitals, clinics and other health-related organizations within an assigned territory. The Clinical Specialist provides healthcare professionals with the most current information regarding Indivior products and their approved indications to ensure appropriate use and maximize the business potential of the territory. This role reports to the Area Sales Manager and is based in Saginaw, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Invest the time and effort to achieve established goals for the territory, including sales, market share, doctor calls, and program planning.
- Monitor and analyze results in the territory; maintain an up-to-date business plan that evaluates sales effectiveness.
- Ensure all required documentation and reports are timely and accurate.
- Demonstrate strong clinical understanding of Indivior products and related disease states.
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate communication of product information.
- Plan and organize daily sales call activities to optimize time and maximize sales objectives.
- Demonstrate persistence to achieve objectives despite disappointments or rejection of initial efforts.
- Create and maintain a positive impression with customers.
- Project a professional business image through neat appearance and appropriate manner of speech.
- Maintain timely communication with the Area Sales Manager and other members of the sales leadership team.
- Conduct field work with the Area Sales Manager and other Indivior personnel.
- Maintain all company-provided equipment in good operating condition.
- Attend sales training meetings, including overnight sessions as required.
- Recognize changes in the work environment and develop alternate plans to achieve objectives.
- Represent Indivior at national and/or local conferences, if applicable.
- Perform special projects and assignments as directed by the Sales Leadership team.
Qualifications
- Required: 1+ years of pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare or related experience
- Required: Maintain valid driverβs license
- Required: Strong customer focus with demonstrated teamwork and collaboration; computer proficient; working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Preferred: Injectable experience
- Preferred: Specialty Pharmacy and Specialty Distributor experience
- Preferred: Experience selling complex specialty and buy-and-bill products
- Preferred: Previous experience selling a drug, device or technology that required a change in physician protocol
